This micro universal compensator has the compact form of a thread protector, but delivers the same recoil reduction as a full compensator. It fits most 9mm pistol setups, including both subcompact and full-size handguns.

On some longer barrels — like the Sig P320 — the comp won't sit flush against the slide, leaving a visible gap. Before installing, check your barrel's protrusion and exactly where the threads start and end; getting this right is the difference between a comp that looks like it belongs on the gun and one that sticks awkwardly off the front. Depending on the platform, this compensator eliminates approximately 25% of muzzle flip.

The only difference between the Type R and normal universal is the round vs square aesthetic.

We often get the question asking what the difference is between our model specific comps vs. our universal comps:

Universal Comps: A big thing to keep in mind with the universal comps is just that, universality. We designed these comps to fit on a multitude of 9mm platforms and we had to reduce the port size, so that it will not effect functionality, but still reduce muzzle flip at the same time. They are also great for those that want to run a compensator, but not have to mess with set screws and torque specs. Because they mount utilizing an O-ring design, they are also convenient for those that want to run a comp but like to switch to using their suppressor as well. There are tons of brands and firearms that we do not make compensators for, and the Universal comp helps us close that gap.

Model Specific Comps: Model specific comps are specifically designed and tested with the intended firearm they mount to. They often match the design and esthetics of the gun AND are engineered to reliably run with said specific model. We design the port sizes to be friendly to the recoil system that comes with the gun from the factory (after the recommended break in period) and also aftermarket offerings. Model specific comps are also a more "permanent" design for reliability purposes. If you have a firearm that we make a model specific comp for, we highly recommend using that comp. This being said, a lot of the models we make specific comps for are also great hosts for the universal comps.
